The Gentle Touch of Christ the Word: a day retreat for Church Elders

A day retreat of prayer and restfulness, refreshment and contemplation, companionship and blessing. Come to a place and space where you can nurture and nourish your mind, body, heart and soul. Experience the ancient Christian practice of Lectio Divina – a contemplative praying of the Scriptures to help you discern more deeply, the presence and grace of Jesus Christ in your life and in your calling as an Elder in your local church and community.

God’s creation also offers daily rhythms of prayer during the retreat – midmorning, midday and mid-afternoon. We will pause to hear the heart-words of the Psalms, listen to music and offer prayer at these times of reflection. Let us embrace God’s gift and blessing of living in the present moment.
