Our Christchurch Community Day was warmed, intrigued and blest…a rewarding time for our largest group ever of over 30 folk. Many were attracted to come by our guest speaker (Scottish – now Kiwi) Rev. Dr. Hilary Oxford Smith. Interspersing and enhancing Hilary’s words was her friend harpist Julie Saraswati….I, and I believe all, left our venue, blessed and calmed, touched in differing ways, out into the warmish winter sun, after a cracking July frost – Paddy Walker
What a wonderful community day of contemplation and reflection we had when I was invited to join the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Association of Christian Meditation for a day retreat on Saturday 28th July 2018. Julie and I companioned the group in meditation, conversation and good company.
We extend our thanks to everyone for their warm welcome, kindness and hospitality. We also thank Jane Hole who was a source of much graciousness and along with others, organized a very special day.
